First Visit Deposit
A $97 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule your first visit. Upon arrival, this deposit will be applied toward your initial evaluation.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in our day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require a 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients repeatedly providing less than a 24-hour notice, or missing appointments, will be charged a cancellation fee of the per-visit rate to the card on file.
Late Arrival Policy
Your wellness journey matters to us! If you’re running late, please send a text to 772-763-1311 to let us know as soon as possible so we can adapt and still provide you and our other clients exceptional care. Late arrivals may require a shorter visit to respect others’ appointments. Thank you for partnering with us in creating a compassionate, balanced experience.
Financial Policy
All payments are due at the time of service. Clients are required to keep a credit/debit card on file. Our office accepts cash, credit cards and debit cards, including HSA and FSA.
Insurance Policy
Awaken Chiropractic Center is committed to providing gentle, specific, nervous system-centered care for families. Insurance companies remain archaically mechanistic, seeing their insured as something with individual parts that only need to have work done when they are “broken.”
If you know your insurance policy offers benefits for out-of-network chiropractic care, we will gladly provide you with a detailed receipt/superbill for reimbursement at their discretion. You must be willing to file the claim yourself.
The care you receive at our office will likely be more affordable and effective long-term, both physically and energetically, than western treatments such as pain medication and invasive surgeries from which your body has to continue to heal, and that may not resolve your initial concern.
What many in America call “health” care is actually “sick” care, where doctors are quick to suppress symptoms with a potion or lotion without digging further for an underlying cause or reason behind the symptom the body is expressing. If their pill or cream doesn’t seem to do the trick, surgery is often suggested as a “quick fix,” often without regard for the message the symptom is trying to relay.
Unfortunately, most insurance companies do not focus on proactive wellness or the prevention of dis-ease. Many only pay for chiropractic care when there is physical pain or structural dysfunction; even then, it has to meet their very specific guidelines to be considered a covered benefit. Rare are the policies that pay for care that supports you in maintaining or improving your health!
In addition, most insurance companies do not cover chiropractic care for children. With a thorough understanding of the repercussions of birth trauma, we are not willing to exclude this important segment of our population.
